Remark: Soft white spring variety. Yield high with general adaptation to the Pacific Northwest region of the U.S. Source of high flour extraction and low ash level for utilization by wheat researchers. Moderately susceptible to stripe rust (Puccinia striiformis). Susceptible to Pacific Northwest field races of leaf rust (Puccinia recondita). Unknown reaction of Northwest Hessian fly but expected to be susceptible. Semi-dwarf comparable in height to Treasure and Owens. Milling quality superior to Owens and Penawawa in 3 yrs. of Western Reg.
