Remark: A BC6F7:10 near isoline developed in Paha, a soft white winter club wheat with the Vrn1 (VrnA1) spring growth habit allele of Triple Dirk Vrn1 (VrnA1) replacing vrn1 (vrnA1) of Paha. Morphologically similar to Paha. See Crop Sci. 12:260. When compared to Paha from fall planting at Pullman, Washington, REA06-S30 is: heading date - equal; physiologic maturity - 30% vs 55% on 7/18; plant height - 11cm shorter; grain volume weight - 2g/L less; grain yield - 2% less; and survival - 50% vs 64%. When compared to Calorwa, a soft white spring club wheat, from spring planting at Pullman, REA06-S30 is: heading date - 11 days later; physiologic maturity - 57% vs 98% on 8/9; plant height - 14cm taller; grain volume weight - 33g/L less; and grain yield - 39% higher.
