Remark: Backcross 8 derivative near isogenic line of the hard red spring wheat cultivar Chester. Developed from a cross of the moderately root rot resistant cultivar Chester and the susceptible line S-615. Susceptible F3 progeny were backcrossed for eight generations to Chester. Susceptible to common root rot (Cochliobolus sativus). Gliadin and glutenin banding tests show to be the same as Chester.
