Norkin Churrinche / ProINTA Imperial // *6 ProINTA Imperial
ProINTA Imperial is a hard red spring common wheat variety from Argentina. This cultivar was used as recurrent parent to introgress three different Glu-A3 and six different Glu-B3 alleles. The different alleles were introgressed by six backcross generations and selection was performed using tightly linked microsatellite markers. This accession is the near isogenic line of ProINTA Imperial carrying the Glu-A3e allele from Norkin Churrinche. Glu-A3e is a null allele associated with the absence of proteins and is associated with poor quality values.
